The sad news is that 43% of patients who have a whiplash
auto injury will end up with symptoms that extend several months if not years. Unfortunately, the news gets worse – if the symptoms persist past three months, there’s about a 90% chance that they’ll continue – for the rest of one’s life. The conditions become incurable.
Want to know why?
It’s probably because those patients received only medical treatment for their auto injury. They decided that medical treatment was enough, and thought they didn’t need any alternative type of healing in conjunction with it.
When you think about this logically, you realize that the painkillers prescribed for a
whiplash auto injury really aren’t meant to stimulate any type of healing in the body; just suppress pain. However, the pain is an important sign for the body – and a cry of the body for healing, not pain suppression.
When your baby cries for food, do you suppress the cries or feed the baby? When your baby cries for a diaper change, do you suppress the cries or change the diaper? Choosing the wrong answer, your baby ends up being at risk for malnutrition or infection. It’s the same thing for an auto injury. By just suppressing the pain, you really aren’t doing anything to stimulate healing.
And that’s where chiropractic can make a difference in the healing of your auto injury. In one study of 28 patients deemed incurable of their whiplash, chiropractic treatments ‘rescued’ 93% of them and they improved.
How long has it been since your auto injury? Are you ready to be rescued?
